Modesty of Woman


Modesty of woman defined U/s. 509 of IPC in detail. In brief if any woman felt insulted by the act / sign / gesure/ sound or with any object / with any written matter offended and insulted by a man it can be treated as modesty of woman which can be prosecuted and punished. This offence is cognizable offence. Whereas the section 354 of IPC is a assault or criminal force to women with intentive outrage for modesty, which is also cognizable offence, but it is non bailable offence.
